Jared came out and provided a great estimate (the least expensive of all three), and impressed me with his professionalism, thoroughness, and detailed explanation of how he was able to provide great equipment at a great price!I contracted Jared to do the work; communication was amazing - he kept me in the loop about what was going on, how the work was progressing, and equipment acquisition.His work was top notch, and his work ethic was five star.Jared followed up several times to tune the new system in - the hardest part of which was grandma not understanding that she couldn't just leave the temp at 60 degrees (which she did, and which froze the unit up). Last Tuesday, January 7th, my heater went on the blink. I called Jared at Cobb Heating and Plumbing because the last time I had a problem with my heater he came over the same day, fixed the problem, and refused payment because he said it was a minor fix. On my most recent call, he was going to come over Tuesday evening fairly late after he finished another job because he was concerned about me having no heat for the night. However, I told him I had space heaters and that Wednesday morning would be fine. He showed up Wednesday morning, fixed my heater, and refused to charge me as he said again, it was a very minor fix. He spent almost an hour in the basement and upstairs diagnosing the problem and had my furnace up and running before he left. He had a small part for my heater in his truck that was needed and once again REFUSED to let me pay him as he said the fix was minor, the part was cheap, and my overall issue was pretty insignificant. He even refused my offer of a trip fee. Nevertheless he spent an hour at my home. I will always call COBB HEATING AND AIR because he has always come over so quickly, fixed the problem, and has offered his services FREE twice when he deemed the issue minor. He has informed me that my heater is a very old one which I knew, and that it might only make it for this winter or perhaps one more. My house is thirty plus years old and when the heater does die, I will only call COBB HEATING and AIR. His service to me has been OUTSTANDING, way more than FAIR, and PROMPT and RELIABLE. He did this for free. And then he recommended that I clean and cover my air conditioner and that my furnace did not need cleaning. He came back in two days, after getting a cover for me. He thoroughly cleaned the air conditioner, leveled it, and covered it. He said that I did not need any R22 at the time maybe in a couple years. He did not overcharge me. And his final price included the cover, about a $25.00 charge. He did an excellent job. He was very professional, friendly, and above all was completely honest. My townhome is 13 years old, he could of easily taken advantage of me but he did not because he is honest. And I know very little about these systems. I had not ever serviced the air conditioner before. So I have been fortunate it was not in bad shape. He was in constant contact with me once I hired him to replace my existing furnace and install first time air conditioning. My home was built in 1985 and it was the original furnace that was being replaced. I have had my home remodeled and because of this, there were many unforeseen hurdles to overcome. Jared was relentless and spent many extra hours figuring out how to grab wires that had been pushed around and blocked because of my extensive remodels. I give credit for tenacity and perseverance.
